Burghley Horse Trials 2009

After our trip over to Ireland we went back to Lancashire
It never stopped raining so we were thinking Burghley was going to be very muddy!
but as we drove nearer we could see that it was much dryer in Lincoln shire.
Burghley House
Part of a combination, this birch fence is made to look like a land rover

As we were walking around the stalls
I began to see things in double!
which turned out quite amusing.
Here is a look alike Mum & Daughter cute!

Then I noticed all the dogs came in pairs too!

Spaniels

Jack Russell's

Basset Hounds

Wolf Hounds

Black Labs

Spottie's

Matching Colours!

Very smart Whippets designer Bandanna's!

Lurchers (got a soft spot for lurchers)

Toughie's

This bridge is so wide, but obviously jumps well

Whippets are for horsey people

Matching in more ways than one! The Hunting look
Beagles following their noses, probably for food.!

Mushroom Fence

The Railway line fence this fence is a down hill Oxo very wide.

Time to sit & watch

Narrow combination well jumped

Lunch time, ever hopeful Flat Coats!

Spots are in

Waiting for Mum & Dad

Whippets waiting too
Pointers longingly pointing a hot dog!!

This Lurcher has its eyes on a very large ice cream if I remember correctly!

The Score Board, a meeting eating place.

Fitzwilliam Hounds

No chance of the hounds catching this fox!
thought it was a novel way of using horse shoes.

Ireland 2009

Irish Summer Holiday!
we were staying in a famous pub "Smugglers Creek"
overlooking this beach

Old walls, creating lanes & small plots

Peat dug up & left to dry

An original Irish house

Old farm yard

Dunluce Castle, one of many Irish Castles
We came across this very spooky old church & grave yard
the vegetation had completly taken over.

Ireland 2009

We stayed at this great Pub at Culdaff, took this sign with the lensbaby,
In the evening local artists gathered together to have an Irish Country music Jam!
it turned out to be an enjoyable evening.
Went for a walk & discovered a very nice sandy beach, even got Rob to paddle,
rare occation!!

Interesting large concrete gateposts

Lots of Fushia hedges around this area
